Lagos Life Refund Rules for Game Naira Purchases
Lagos Life refund rules explained: who processes Game Naira payments, when a refund may be considered, what to do if naira never arrived, and chargebacks.

Short answer
For Game Naira, the official Terms describe one main Lagos Life refund case: your real money was taken but the naira or other digital item never reached your account. According to the official Terms of Use (section 10), purchases are generally final once they have been delivered, unless the law requires otherwise. A refund may be considered when the payment was collected, the purchase was not completed or delivered in the game, and the failure can be checked against both the payment provider's records and the game's own transaction ledger. Payments are currently processed by Flutterwave; payments made before 6 October 2026 went through Bachs (Terms section 6). Requests go to the operator at support@lagoslife.app, not to this independent guide.
"May be considered" is the operator's wording. It describes when a request can be looked at, not a promise that every request will be approved.
What you are buying
The Terms say the game may let players buy Game Naira with real money (section 6). What you receive is a "limited contractual entitlement" to have the stated amount of virtual units added to your Lagos Life account. The purchase does not give you Nigerian currency, a deposit account, an investment, a financial product or any right to cash the units back out.
Section 5 adds that Game Naira is a fictional game unit with no real-world cash value, even though it is displayed with the word "Naira" and the ₦ symbol. It cannot be withdrawn to a bank account or redeemed for real currency. Our game money guide covers what that means for spending and planning, so we will not repeat it here.
Game Naira is not the only thing the operator may sell. Section 9 lists possible advertising placements, branded venues and items, sponsored experiences and other commercial integrations alongside Game Naira. It also says prices and the scope of a purchase will be shown before you buy, or agreed separately with the buyer.
On the payment side, the Privacy & Cookie Policy (section 2, Payment Information) says Lagos Life may receive details such as the transaction reference, amount, currency, payment status, payment time, product purchased and a customer or transaction identifier. Card, bank or other payment credentials may be handled directly by Flutterwave (or Bachs, for older payments) rather than stored by Lagos Life. The Terms also note that your payment may be subject to the payment provider's own terms and policies.
When a refund may be considered
Section 10 of the Terms splits refunds into two groups.
Game Naira and other digital purchases. A refund may be considered only when all three of these are true:
- a real-money payment was successfully collected;
- the matching purchase was not successfully completed or delivered in Lagos Life; and
- the failure can reasonably be verified using the payment provider's transaction records and Lagos Life's internal transaction or game ledger.
If the operator's records show the naira or item was correctly credited, the purchase will ordinarily not qualify. The Terms give examples: you changed your mind, you spent the naira, you transferred it to another player, you lost it through gameplay, or you no longer want to use the service. If you are thinking of leaving the game rather than fixing a payment, see deleting a Lagos Life account; as noted above, no longer wanting to use the service does not ordinarily qualify for a refund on naira that was already credited.
Advertising and commercial services. Ad placements, integrations and partnerships may involve reserved inventory, creative or development work and other preparation. Unless the law or a separate written agreement says otherwise, payments for these are non-refundable once inventory has been reserved, work has started or the service has been delivered. If Lagos Life fails to provide a paid service, the remedy depends on the applicable agreement and mandatory Nigerian consumer law.
Section 10 ends by saying nothing in the Terms removes a refund, cancellation or consumer remedy that cannot legally be waived. We cannot tell you which legal rights apply to your situation; that depends on your circumstances and is not something this guide can assess.
If your naira never arrived
This is the situation the section 10 refund conditions describe. The Privacy Policy (section 8) says the operator may exchange information with Flutterwave and Bachs to confirm payment status, reconcile transactions, investigate failed purchases, detect fraud, process lawful refunds and resolve payment disputes. Under the Terms, a missing credit has to be verifiable by comparing the payment record with the game's ledger.
The following is our general advice, not an official checklist. Before you write to support, gather:
- The payment confirmation from Flutterwave (or Bachs, if you paid before 6 October 2026), including the transaction reference if one is shown.
- The amount, currency, date and approximate time of the payment.
- What you tried to buy, such as the amount of Game Naira you selected.
- Your account username or the email you use to sign in, so the right account can be found. Our how to play guide explains the sign-up and login steps.
- A screenshot of your in-game balance after the payment, with the date visible if possible.
These match the kinds of details the Privacy Policy says Lagos Life receives from the payment provider, which should make your request easier to check. Never include a full card number, bank password, game password or one-time login code. Do not send them to anyone who asks.
Not confirmed yet: whether a delayed credit can still arrive by itself, whether there is a time limit for reporting a missing purchase, and how long an investigation takes. None of these appear in the current Terms. Ask the operator directly.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
A chargeback is when you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a payment. The Terms (section 10) say you must not start a fraudulent or dishonest chargeback for a purchase that was properly delivered.
If a chargeback, reversal or payment dispute means Lagos Life does not receive payment for Game Naira or another digital benefit that was delivered, the operator may reverse the related in-game transaction, suspend the account or take other reasonable action. Our sibling page on Lagos Life account restrictions and bans covers what a suspension involves.
These rules target disputes over purchases that were delivered. If your naira genuinely never arrived, contacting the operator first with your records gives them a chance to check their ledger. The same section also preserves consumer remedies that cannot legally be waived. This guide does not advise on whether to open a dispute with your bank.
How to contact the operator
Section 32 of the Terms lists the operator as Shalom Rayhamen, Nigeria, with the website lagoslife.app and the contact address support@lagoslife.app. The Privacy Policy (section 20) gives the same address for privacy questions. Who runs the game and how it handles data is covered on is Lagos Life legit.
Only use contact details you find on the official site. Our game link guide shows the official address and how to spot fake links, which matters when someone offers to "recover" a payment for you.
This guide is not the operator. Our address, contact@lagoslife.io, reaches the editor of this independent site and cannot check payments, credit naira or issue refunds. The contact page explains the difference.
What this guide has not verified
We have not made a purchase, so we have not seen the checkout screens, the payment provider's screens or any receipt the game produces. We do not know the current Game Naira package prices. We have not sent a refund request or support email, so we cannot report response times or outcomes. We have not reviewed Flutterwave's or Bachs's own terms on refunds and disputes. Everything on this page comes from the official Terms and Privacy Policy as published on the date below.
Source: Lagos Life Terms of Use, sections 5, 6, 9, 10 and 32, and Lagos Life Privacy & Cookie Policy, section 2 (Payment Information) and sections 8 and 20. Both pages show "Effective 1 October 2026" and were checked October 8, 2026. More official links are on the Sources page. Evidence boundary: we read the published policies only. No account was used, no payment was made, no package price was observed and no support request was sent; if the operator updates its Terms, the current official version applies.
