Is Lagos Life Legit? Operator, Money and Privacy Facts
Is Lagos Life legit? See who operates the game, why Game Naira cannot be cashed out, what data its policies say it collects, and how to avoid fake copies.

The short answer
Is Lagos Life legit? Going by its published policies, yes in the narrow sense: Lagos Life is a real entertainment and life-simulation game with a named operator, written rules and a support address. It is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. It is not a way to earn real money, and its policies state that it is not run, approved or endorsed by any Nigerian government body, or by the brands that appear in it unless the game labels a brand as a partner.
"Legit" on this page means identifiable and documented. It does not mean we have certified the game as secure. The sections below explain what the official documents say, which points matter most for your money and your data, and what we could not check.
Who runs Lagos Life
The official Terms of Use, Privacy & Cookie Policy and Disclaimer all name the same operator: Shalom Rayhamen, based in Nigeria. The Privacy Policy says Shalom Rayhamen decides why and how player data is processed, apart from service providers acting under their own legal obligations. The Disclaimer (§19) says the game's original content is owned by Shalom Rayhamen or used with permission, and the official stats page credits the game to Shalom Rayhamen with the X handle @Shalom_HeyEliy.
The contact section of the Terms (§32) lists the website https://lagoslife.app, an additional production service at https://lagoslife.eliysites.com/ and the support address support@lagoslife.app. The policies do not name a registered company, and we have not checked any business registration. All three documents showed an effective date of 1 October 2026 when we fetched them on October 8, 2026.
This guide is independent. We are not the operator, we cannot see or change game accounts, and we are not endorsed by Lagos Life. Our About page explains how we work, and our Contact page separates editorial corrections from game support.
What "legit" means here
What we found is a game whose operator is named, whose country is stated and whose rules on money, data and affiliation are written down in detail. That gives you something concrete to compare against what you see in the game and something to point to if you contact support.
What we cannot do is vouch for the game's security, for how fast support replies or for how the operator will behave in future. A published policy describes commitments; we have not audited whether day-to-day practice matches them. The Privacy Policy itself says no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security (§14). Several statements are also qualified with "currently", so they describe the policy on the date we read it rather than a permanent promise.
Not a government or brand product
The game draws on life in Nigeria and may depict public institutions such as the Nigeria Police Force and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. According to Terms §13 and Disclaimer §5, unless expressly stated otherwise, Lagos Life is not operated by a federal, state or local government, is not affiliated with, authorized or endorsed by any government institution, and is not an official government simulation. Officers, officials and politicians in the game are fictional characters unless expressly identified otherwise (Terms §13, Disclaimer §6). Terms §4 adds that simulated versions of Lagos and other places do not mean any government, company or property owner has approved the game.
Brands work the same way. Under Terms §12 and Disclaimer §2–3, a real brand appearing in the game does not mean it sponsors, endorses or partners with Lagos Life unless the game expressly labels it as an Official Partner, Sponsor, Advertiser or equivalent. The Disclaimer also says that the absence of such a label should not be read as evidence of a commercial relationship. Treat a familiar logo inside the game as part of the setting unless it carries one of those labels.
Can Lagos Life pay real money?
No. Terms §5 and Disclaimer §10 describe Game Naira as a fictional game unit: it is not Nigerian legal tender, not eNaira, not issued or backed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, cannot be withdrawn into a bank account, cannot be redeemed for real currency and has no exchange rate. Real money can go in, because the Privacy Policy (§2, §8) describes payments processed through Flutterwave (and through Bachs for payments made before 6 October 2026), but nothing comes back out, so purchases are one-way. Terms §5 also forbids selling Game Naira for real money, running unauthorized exchanges or brokering it for cash, and Disclaimer §12 says nothing in the game is financial advice or an investment offer. Our Lagos Life money guide covers the game economy in more detail.
What personal data it collects
Privacy §2 lists what the game may collect, depending on how you use it:
- Account details: display name, username, email address, password or authentication data, account identifiers and status.
- Avatar choice: a man or woman selection used for avatar customization.
- Gameplay and social activity: Game Naira balances, transactions and transfers, game progress, public and venue chat, direct messages, posts, reports, blocks and moderation records.
- Payment records: transaction reference, amount, currency, status and product purchased. Card or bank credentials may be processed directly by the payment provider rather than stored by Lagos Life.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser, operating system, device characteristics, cookies, session information and server logs.
The points most players will want to know:
- Device fingerprinting. The game uses device fingerprinting to detect account farming, fraud, bots and attempts to get around restrictions. The policy says this is for security and abuse prevention, not for turning your real identity into an advertising profile (§2).
- No GPS. The game does not currently collect your real-world GPS location for gameplay; your location in the game is fictional (§3).
- No social login. Social login is not currently offered, and neither GIF search nor audio chat is part of the social features (§3).
- Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Messages may be stored and processed to deliver them, handle reports and moderate content. You should not assume direct messages or venue chat are end-to-end encrypted unless the game expressly says so (§13).
- Who else handles data. The infrastructure is hosted on DigitalOcean, payments go through Flutterwave, and other technical providers may be used (§8). These providers may process data outside Nigeria (§9).
- No marketing messages. The game does not currently use email, SMS or WhatsApp as a general promotional channel for players. Email may still be used for account, login, security, transaction and support messages (§18).
- Security measures. These may include access restrictions, password hashing, logging and monitoring (§14).
How to spot fake copies and scams
- Check the full web address. The Terms name two service addresses: lagoslife.app and lagoslife.eliysites.com. Be cautious with any other site presenting itself as the game unless the official site points you there. Our game link guide covers the official address and lookalike links in detail; this guide's own site is not the game.
- Never share your password or a login code. Not with "support" agents who contact you first, not with other players and not with us. The operator's published support address is support@lagoslife.app (Terms §32).
- Ignore cash-out offers. Game Naira cannot be redeemed for real money, and selling or brokering it for cash is against the rules (Terms §5). Anyone offering to convert your balance into cash, sell you cheap Game Naira or multiply a payment is offering something the official rules forbid, and there is no official route for it to work.
- Be wary of promotional texts. An SMS or WhatsApp promotion claiming to come from Lagos Life does not match the Privacy Policy, which says those channels are not currently used for general player marketing (§18). Check the official site instead of following the link.
Payments, bans and account deletion
Three related policy questions have their own pages:
- Lagos Life refunds and payments explains who processes payments and when the Terms say a refund may be considered.
- Lagos Life account bans covers the conduct the Terms prohibit and the enforcement steps the operator may take.
- Deleting a Lagos Life account explains soft deletion and which records the policies say may remain.

What this guide has not verified
- Security: we have not run a security audit or tested how data is actually stored. We read the published policies only.
- Account behaviour: for this page we did not create an account, log in, buy Game Naira, request a refund or contact support.
- Player numbers: Not confirmed yet. The official stats page shows live counters, but they did not render in our text capture, so we give no player figures. Check the stats page yourself.
- Business registration: not checked. The policies name Shalom Rayhamen, Nigeria, as the operator and do not name a registered company.
